Whatever Happened To The Homes Made Famous By Reality TV?

x You have successfully emailed the post.

Reality TV gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of others — famous celebrities, or soon-to-be — following their trials and tribulations with more than a handful of drama along the way.

Viewers get to peek into the homes where reality TV celebrities live, or where they stayed during the filming of the show and sometimes the scenes are not so pretty.

Pets run rampant, peeing on expensive carpets, celebs fight to save their homes from foreclosure, and then there are the occasional domestic flare-ups.

The majority of homes are located in Los Angeles and most of them have several thousand feet of living space, as well as a pool and many other TV-worthy amenities.

What is the status of these homes now? Many of these homes are for sale — stuck on the real estate market with huge price cuts — or, were recently sold.

DRIVING WHILE FAMOUS: Celebrities Who Did Dumb Stuff Behind The Wheel

x You have successfully emailed the post.

The world of A-list celebrities has become something of a joke in recent years.

People like Paris Hilton have managed to secure world-wide fame by having sex on tape and by having a rich dad. It's pretty ridiculous.

But thankfully, there is salvation, as these "celebrities" are often just socialites, meaning they typically get themselves into quite a mess of an evening.

So with that being said, here’s a quick run-down of some of the most infamous celebrities who were caught behind the wheel being very naughty, indeed.

The Famous Baltic Dry Index Climbs 16% In One Week

x You have successfully emailed the post.

At least one measure of global economic activity is not showing recession -- in fact, it could be showing the reverse.

According to Seeking Alpha (via @carney), the Baltic Dry Index jumped up by 16% last week, suggesting that the global economy could be starting to move in a positive direction.

The index, which measures the cost of transporting raw materials by sea, is regarded by some economists as a "bellwether of economic activity." Others criticize the index for its volatility and questionable relationship to economic growth.

Despite rising recently, the measure is nowhere close to the levels it reached earlier this year, when markets showed signs of recovering from the economic slowdown of 2008.

The BDI came under the microscope in 2008, when it fell 90% as the global recession set in. Check out what it looks like now.
