UPDATE: Rick Ross suffered a second seizure today onboard his private plane in transit to a concert in Memphis, TMZ reports.

After landing in Birmingham, Alabama, Ross was immediately hospitalized, where he appears to be in stable condition.

During a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis earlier today, Ross had the first seizure that left him unconscious, TMZ reported.

Ross' plane made an emergency landing, and EMS worked to resuscitate him in the airport.

Soon after, rapper Wale, a member of Ross' Maybach Music Group, tweeted that he spoke to Ross, who is "100% OK." And Ross himself tweeted multiple times between his first and second seizure.

One of the biggest names in hip-hop, Ross is poised to release his fifth album, "God Forgives, I Don't," December 13.

Round Two: Linda McMahon To Launch Second Senate Bid In 2012

Former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon, who dumped $50 million of her own money on a failed Senate bid in Connecticut in 2010, is preparing to announce that she will again run for Senate next year, according to The New York Times.

Citing two Republican sources, the Times said that McMahon will announce her candidacy in the coming week.

Last year, McMahon ran unsuccessfully to replace retiring Sen. Chris Dodd, ultimately losing to then Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. McMahon, who had never run for office before and who had little name recognition statewide, utilized her robust fortune to quickly build a formidable campaign operation and win the Republican primary, beating out former Rep. Rob Simmons.

In the general election, McMahon started off as a huge underdog in deep-blue Connecticut, but she considerably closed the gap between herself and Blumenthal amid allegations that Blumenthal had overstated his military service during the Vietnam War. However, the waning days of the campaign saw McMahon's popularity plummet, and Blumenthal wound up winning by a comfortable margin.

McMahon will now be running to fill the vacancy that will be left when Sen. Joe Lieberman (I) retires at the end of his term.

The contest for the Democratic nomination is already underway, as former Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz and Rep. Chris Murphy have both formally declared their candidacies.

x You have successfully emailed the post. Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, al Qaeda's second in command was killed in Pakistan on August 22, according to the AP.

An Obama senior administration official says:

"Atiyah's death is a tremendous loss for al Qaeda. He had multiple responsibilities in the organization and will be very difficult to replace."

While the official will not say how al-Rahman was killed, it was on the same day a CIA drone strike was reported in the tribal region of Waziristan in Pakistan.

al-Rahman, who was born in Libya, joined bin Laden's forces when he was a teenager, and was believed to be a close confidant of bin Laden. Before bin Laden's death, Atiyah was the operational chief of al Qaeda. Atiyah was believed to be in his mid-30s.
